D type flip-flops is a flip-flop that can store memory like the SR Latch. The difference between the SR Latch and the D Flip-Flop is that the Inverter on the D Flip-Flop is connected between both the inputs of the "set" and "reset" pins, which are found in the SR latch circuit.
